JOPLIN TORNADO OF 2011

STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MATRIX. As mentioned above, in the 304,805 letters of Torah, this 7-letter death sentence (SURELY BE PUT TO DEATH) is found 802 times, thus constituting 5,614 letters (about 1.84% of the Torah). As such, there was about a 63% chance that it would be on this matrix, and about a 12.8% chance that it would share the 49 letters around IN THE TORNADO.  Statistically the phrase appears to be insignificant, but the reality is perhaps better reflected by prayer recited in synagogues each year at Rosh HaShana (The Jewish New Year):

On Rosh HaShanah they are inscribed and on the day of the fast of Atonement (Yom Kippur) they are sealed: How many will pass from this world and how many will be created; who will live and who will die, who will die at his intended time and who will not die at his intended time, who will die by water and who will die by fire, who by the sword and who by beast, who by famine and who by thirst, who by storm and who by plague, who by strangulation and who by stoning; who will rest and who will wander, who will live in serenity and who will be distraught, who will enjoy tranquility and who will suffer, who will be impoverished and who will be made rich, who will be degraded and who will be exalted.

But repentance, prayer and charity remove the evil of the decree!

There were two very significant terms on the matrix, both with identical odds that would have had them there against odds of 806 to 1 if this matrix would have been based on the lowest ELS of IN THE TORNADO, but is at its 2^nd lowest ELS. The terms are JOPLIN and the very descriptive image of a tornado, THE PILLAR OF CLOUD BY DAY. The short version of the year, (5)771/2011, touches THE PILLAR OF CLOUD BY DAY. The year had about 1 chance in 2 to be on the matrix. Overall, the matrix appeared against odds of 1,263,267 to 1. It is highly significant. Sadly, the weak statistical significance of the date (which is generally the rule) does not allow us to use the Code as anything like the current storm warning system, though the matrix does make a case for adequate tornado shelters in areas like Joplin.
