FERGUSON AND NEW YORK VERDICTS: LAW VS. BARBARISM

Now the earth had become corrupt before God; and the earth had become full of robbery. And God saw the earth and behold it was corrupted, for all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth. God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with robbery through them; and behold I am about to destroy them from the earth." (Genesis 6:11 to 6:13).

When I wrote about the first riot in Ferguson, Missouri in August, I showed a matrix based on the lowest ELS of FERGUSON at skip 58,082. Figure 1 above is based on the same ELS, but the focus is shifted down somewhat to show the name MICHAEL just below and touching BROWN. Michael Brown was the 6’4’’ (1.93 meter), 292 pound (132 kg) 18-year old black man who was shot and killed by police officer Darren Wilson during an arrest attempt about 15 minutes after Brown committed a strong-armed robbery of cigars in Ferguson. On the original matrix I published included a photo of black woman with a sign that read, “EXCUSE ME, WE NEED ANSWERS FOR Michael Brown Jr.” On the matrix above I include a photo of Wilson’s face that was taken soon after the fatal shooting. It shows a red welt on it. There were also marks on the back of his neck. These injuries were suffered by the officer while Brown was fighting him in an attempt to take his gun. Brown suffered the first gun shot into his hand at that time, and there was gun powder in the wound to prove that the first shooting occurred during the struggle. The word ACQUITER is shown below Wilson’s photo. The name of the prosecutor, McCULLOCH is on the right side of the matrix, next to his picture. McCULLOCH is the man who read the verdict and the reason for the acquittal to the world. Rioting started almost immediately after the verdict was read, before the Ferguson mob could hear the reasons for the acquittal. The word RIOT is on the matrix at skip +1. ACQUITER and McCULLOCH are at the same absolute skip as FERGUSON. PROSECUTE shares a letter hey with RIOT and touches FERGUSON. The mob appeared to be quite confounded by the verdict. In the open text is CONFOUND THEM WITH GREAT CONFUSION UNTIL THEIR DESTRUCTION. Also in the open text going through FERGUSON  is DECLARE UNTO YOU THE SENTENCE OF JUSTICE.

In August, 2014 U.S. Attorney General was quickly sent by President Obama to Ferguson, Missouri to help ensure the prosecution of police officer Darren Wilson. Initial reports were that during the fight Wilson suffered broken bones around his eye. These were not true, but he did suffer facial injuries at the hands of Brown. On Figure 2 the axis term is ERIC HOLDER. At the same skip, but opposite direction, are OBAMA, DARREN and BROWN. One open text CURSED is found sharing the first letter with ERIC HOLDER. On the same line is also CURSED BE HE WHO PERVERTS JUSTICE TO THE STRANGER. Many people, from Obama down through Holder and Missouri Governor Nixon were and still are ready to pervert justice and find Wilson guilty even though the grand jury ruled he was not. The blood evidence showed that after Brown was shot in his hand while struggling take take Wilson's gun, he first ran away from Wilson, then turned and walked, ran or charged Wilson in a second deranged attack The trail of blood clearly showed this turn, and the bullets fired by Wilson all entered the front of Brown's body or top of his head. Three autopsies showed that none of the bullets entered the back of Brown's body, proving that all accusations of Wilson shooting Brown in the back were lies - especially that of Dorian Johnson, famous for the claim the Brown shouted "Hands up, don't shoot." 

I initially named this article FERGUSON VERDICT: CLASH OF CIVILIZATION VS. BARBARISM before I found Figure 3. But then New York grand jury the verdict came in  clearing the officer there who used a fatal choke hold on Eric Garner, the subject of Figure 4. That case was a reminder that while not all cases of white police killing black people are based on criminal actions of the police, some may be. The choke hold was not legal. Each case must be judged based on the merit of its facts and evidence. In Ferguson the man killed, Michael Brown, committed a strong-armed robbery of a store, then, a few minutes later, he fought a policeman for the officer's gun, and was first shot during the struggle. Brown ran away, but then turned and went after the officer, who apparently shot Brown in self defense. But in the Eric Garner case there was no robbery by Garner. He was harassed by a policeman that had apparently stopped or arrested him before just for selling untaxed cigarettes (in New York City there is a six dollar per pack tax on cigarettes). Garner protested the harassment and was brought down by a choke hold that killed him. Like Michael Brown, Eric Garner was a relative giant. Brown weighed about 292 pounds. Garner was about 350 pounds.

       For Figure 3 I went looking for a match of BARBARISM specifically with OBAMA and RIOT at special case skips (+/- 1 or the skip of the axis term, BARBARISM). With the word shown for BARBARISM, I had to go to the 22nd lowest skip of the word before I found the two 5-letter a-priori key words at a special case skip (both at the same skip as BARBARISM). Odds against this match were about 540 to 1. When you look at the films of what went on after the death of Brown, and again after the verdict, it was pure barbarism - and not all of it by blacks. It least one filmed arsonist was white. Obviously the business owners who had their stores looted and then burned had nothing to do with either problem, although it probably was not the smartest thing in the world for the Ferguson Market and Liquor store to reopen after the first looting. Further, while liquor stores may be legitimate businesses, they probably should not be built in high crime neighborhoods (like Ferguson). For certain, all should at least have signs outside that say "no loitering," and these signs should be backed with the force of law (but in black areas it would be best to let black police do the enforcement). 

       On Figure 4 the axis term is the only ELS (in wrapped Torah) of ERIC GARNER. The only a priori term that is parallel to his name is a word for INJUSTICE, however it’s not at the same absolute skip as his name, it’s at three time that skip (not a special case skip). The word BURY in the open text starts in at the 4^th letter of his name and ends touching an ELS of STRANGLER, which ends at the 7th letter of ERIC GARNER. Also on the 165-letter matrix with a gray background is FIERCE COUNTENANCE, which is seen in the open text. While this might suggest the 350-pound victim, since he was not a thief like Michael Brown was, it’s probably better to look at the full verse in question (Deuteronomy 28:50).

        Deuteronomy 28:50 reads “a nation of fierce countenance who will have no respect for the old, nor show favor to the young.” I would not want to judge America that way; but extremists like Al Sharpton (or, for that matter, Barack Obama) make a better case of doing so when looking at this killing than they do with Ferguson. However, while there are obvious problems with the killing of Eric Garner, it's certain that he didn't yell DON’T SHOOT even though that phrase is found at an ELS on the full 1,204-letter matrix. What Garner could be heard saying over and over again (11 times) was simple, “I can’t breathe.” The choke hold that killed him was against accepted police procedures, which is why manslaughter charges seem justified; although the death was likely an ACCIDENT (that word is seen at an ELS on the full matrix – where it touches an ELS of BLACK).

        There  is always a possibility that the officer, and/or the New York City Police Department can be sued for negligence, but a strong message needs to be put out that police need a serious crime to be involved before putting their hands on someone in a fashion that might be fatal. An initial cause of selling untaxed cigarettes does not fit that category. In Ferguson we witnessed robbery by Michael Brown, robbery by many of the people of Ferguson, and robbery by trouble makers from around the nation. The Brown shooting was justified based on Brown's beiligerent actions. But the only "robbery" seen in New York was the unjustified taking of Garner's life. Having said this, we should consider one factor often overlooked by the media when it comes to convicting police officers of wrongful deaths - what is likely to happen in jail to white policemen imprisoned there. Since most people in jail are likely to be put there in part because of police actions, it is likely that some will want revenge by trying to kill any cop thrown in there. Therefore, to remove this concern I would recommend that a national jail be built or maintained just for the purpose of safely imprisoning police who find themselves convicted of crimes that merit less than a death sentence.

STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF FIGURES 1 TO 4

Figure 1: There is a discussion of the original Figure 1 included here. The spreadsheet for it is found on the upper left side here. It is probably not fair to recalculate full odds for the new Figure 1 here because I started out knowing what was found on the original version. However I will quote individual odds for new terms based on the larger area. Two words were at special case skips: ACQUITER and McCULLOCH. For ACQUITER let's also include the frequency of acquittal and acquit. The later two terms were not found at a special case skip. ACQUITER was found just once. The special case skip shown was found against odds of about 218 to 1. For McCULLOCH, what is shown is one of two shortest transliterations tried (with kuf or caf used for the first C in McCULLOCH). Odds against finding of these two spellings this way were about 8.9 to 1. The name MICHAEL had about a 62.4% chance to be there as it was here at a non-special case skip. The name BROWN had about a 45.7% chance to be there as it was here at a non-special case skip.

Figure 3:  As per my standard protocol, no statistical significance is assigned to the axis term, here BARBARISM at its 22nd lowest ELS in (wrapped) Torah. The most significant a priori key word was OBAMA which appeared at a special case skip against odds of about 198 to 1. RIOT was also at a special case skip (the same as Obama) against odds of about 60 to 1. Combined odds against both terms being found this way were about 11,897 to 1, but this is decreased by a factor of 22 to account for ELS rank 22 of the axis term. The final odds against this matrix are thus calculated to be about 541 to 1, however this is likely to be higher than proper because there were other synonyms for BARBARISM that that could have been used for an axis term.

Figure 4: The bulk of Figure 4 was either found in an a posteriori manner, where odds are not quoted in accordance with my protocols, or the items were not at special case skips of interest. Further, while this was the only ELS found for the name Eric Garner, a quick look at Facebook reveals that there are many people with the same name.

RACISM AND THE JUICE FACTOR. Was either Brown or Garner killed for racist reasons? Probably not. But whether that is true or not might not matter as much was what people, especially black people, believe.

        I once saw a Woody Allen movie where Allen in was in a restaurant ordering food. He was so sensitive about being Jewish that whenever someone ordered juice he though he heard the word Jews. If you’re not Jewish, and have never been subjected to anti-Semitism, you might not understand the humor. But almost 60 years ago I learned how to fight when I was called a kike. While most gentiles I meet in the U.S. are wonderful people, in Europe I have seen plenty of anti-Semitism, and it has on at least two occasions affected my career as a science teacher, and as an officer. Yes, these were rare encounters, but I still find it wise to exercise situational awareness, although that’s not enough to make me politically correct on this website.

       The point that I make here is that although most blacks that are murdered are killed by other blacks rather than white cops, given their history many will not respond to logic. That was evident in with the grand jury decision in the killing of Michael Brown. But the grand jury findings in the Eric Garner case probably illustrates why blacks feel they don’t get enough justice. Given that this is so, wisdom calls for re-educating white police about when they really need to forcefully interact with black Americans. There are also other areas where police need to rethink how they approach the public in general. I know that when I drive up to the University of Florida to visit my son, when I am 10 miles out of Gainesville I should slow down because the small town of Micanopy, Florida makes much of its income by a speed trap on I-75. That should not be the purpose of law enforcement. While I have rarely been ticketed in my life, about half the time that I have been stopped I was let go without a ticket because it was easy for the policeman to see that I have been on active duty or that I am a (white) veteran. If blacks are stopped at the same speed at greater frequency, or ticketed with greater frequency then they will generally view the police as their enemy. Yes, blacks need to stop having kids out of wedlock (which they do 72% of the time), and they need to cut their crime rates and start focusing on getting serious educations that are not based on affirmative action admissions that unfairly discriminate against white students with better grades. Blaxks need to stop hanging around liquor stores and stop looting or burning them down when they get an excuse to do so, but we need to ensure that the police forces in this nation are here to serve the public, not abuse it.
