USS ROOSEVELT SAILS TO YEMEN TO BLOCK IRANIAN ARMS
Another "red line?" Obama makes clear he has made no decision (again), but Saudi Arabia may have frightened Iranian ships into turning around. Updated 4/24/2015
On April 20, 2015, an Obama-weakened Navy pulled its aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt away from Iran and the Persian Gulf, and sent it down to waters off Yemen in an attempt to block Iranian Navy ships and arms from reaching Houthi rebels in Yemen. At a time like this, when Iran appears to be getting what it wants in negotiations over atomic weapons, we shouldn't have less than two aircraft carriers in the area. On the matrix below the axis term is ROOSEVELT. SHIP is at skip +1, as is IRAN, DEATH SrNTENCE (crossing ROOSEVELT) and CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. ATOMIC is one skip off the absolute skip of the axis term, and at the same skip as HOUTHI. KERRY (who leads out atomic negotiations) is at the absolute skip of ROOSEVELT. YEMINI and ISLAM are both at non-special case skips. With respect to DEATH SENTENCE crossing ROOSEVELT, while the positioning of these two words is cause for concerm, the sentence is actual taken from Deuteronomy 19:16 which states HE WAS NOT DESERVING OF A DEATH SENTENCE. Neither the short nor the longer phrase was found a priori, so neither is included in odds calculations. Caution is needed. Either interpretation is possible. Recently Iran constructed a full size mock up of a Nimitz class aircraft carrier and practiced sinking it.
UPDATE OF 24 APRIL 2015: WHO TURNED THE IRANIAN FLEET AROUND? While I have not yet had time to look for him in the Codes, it appears that the U.S. Navy was only part of what drove the Iranian fleet away from Yemen. A billionaire Saudi Arabian prince promised to give each of the 100 fighter pilots that took part in Riyadh's latest air strikes in Yemen a brand new Bentley.
Prince Alaweed bin Talal - who owns one of Saudi Arabia's largest companies, Kingdom Holdings, and owns a $300m stake in Twitter - made his promise on social media but has since deleted the Tweet.
"I congratulate our wise leaders on the victory of Operation Decisive Storm and the beginning of Operation Restoring Hope," bin Talal appeared to tweet Tuesday, following the announcement of a new phase in the Saudi-led campaign in Yemen.
"To recognize the one hundred participating Saudi pilots I am pleased to present them with 100 Bentley cars," he said.
It would be hard to assign a body count to each pilot for what each one killed on the ground, but body counts are easy when ships are sunk, and clearly Saudi Arabia was willing to do that despite Obama’s call for restraint. In fact, if Saudi Arabia had allowed Iranian anti-aircraft missiles to reach Yemen, they would have been used to shoot down Saudi jets. As for the USS Roosevelt, when it returns to waters off Iran, it still will be in jeopardy. However, from what I saw while serving aboard 5 aircraft carriers when I was in the Navy for 10 years (prior to 24 years of Coast Guard service) it will be very hard to sink our ship.
STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MATRIX. As per my standard protocol, no initial statistical significance is assigned to the axis term, here ROOSEVELT at its lowest skip in wrapped Torah. The most significant a priori term is IRAN which is found at skip +1 against odds of about 224 to 1. SHIP is also found at skip +1, but the word shown is composed of two words in succession that are very common in Torah, I am and the first part of God. I sought two synonyms for ship. The odds against me finding one of them at skip +1 were about 6 to 1. The second most valuable term was ISLAM which was found against odds of about 30 to 1. The third most valuable term was ATOMIC which was found against odds of about 23 to 1. KERRY was almost as worthless as an a priori term as he is as Secretary of State. He was found at a special case skip (+/- or the absolute skip of the axis term) against odds of about 2.6 to 1. YEMINI was found against odds of about 3.7 to 1. ISRAEL had a 73% chance to be there. There is probably a 73% chance that an Israeli submarine will meet up with and help defend the American battle group, but in order to find submarine we would need to expand the matrix from 680 letters to 882 letters, and use a row split of 3. Such a switch is not statistically justified. HOUTHI was not statistically significant. Overall, this matrix was found against odds of about 12,516,361 to 1.
On the possible significance of the word ATOMIC: Of course, the ROOSEVELT is driven by atomic power. So the word may just reinforce the axis term subject. It is an ATOMIC SHIP. However stories have appeared in the Wall Street Journal and Fox about the U.S. bribing Iran $50 billion to reach a nuclear deal. If true, this may indicate that we know Iran already has an atomic bomb, and we want to buy it. Obama has long ago let Iran get to within 2 or 3 months of acquiring the bomb. As Iran has made a fool of Obama and Kerry by making the negotiations drag out over many years, it seems likely that we have indeed reached a position that's a day late and $50 billion short.
