CAPTAIN ROBERT SALAS & UFO EVENT

      On 9/28/2010 Fox news aired a story about UFOs inactivating American Intercontental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs).  Their coverage of the story is here.  The news conference where Captain Robert Salas (retired U.S. Air Force) tried to force the Government’s hand at UFO disclosure  was held on Monday, September 27.  Salas and other officers claim that 10 nuclear tipped missiles were shut down at their base. The same thing happened a few days before at another base.  Click SALAS UFO to hear the actual claims.  The Fox coverage was somewhat hostile and incomplete.

     The UFO conference corresponded to the second chapter airing on NBC of their TV series, THE EVENT, which is about a revelation that aliens are here.  On this matrix ROBERT SALAS is the axis term, and UFO is at the same skip as his name. In the open text is EVENT. Also in the open text is BRASS RING, what a UFO might look like to the ancient mind (see my page on Ezekiel and Ezekiel 1:7).  BRASS is found a second time in the open text on the matrix. 

     While I regret not getting the man's name, I once met a retired USAF colonel on the beach in Satellite Beach, Florida who claimed that he was at Malmstrom Air Force base when this event occured.  This story has often been covered on TV, but this is the first time that so many Air Force officers went public together in an attempt to confirm it.   

STATISTICAL DISCUSSION. The term BRASS RING was found a posteriori. There are many other such terms that might have worked as well. No statistical value is attached to a posteriori terms, or to the axis term (ROBERT SALAS) in accordance with my standard protocol.  So the only a priori terms of interest here are UFO at the same skip as the axis term and EVENT at skip +1. For terms found at the same skip as the axis term (N, here -8185) I use the total number of hits at skip N, -N, +1, and -1 (special case skips). For UFO the total number of such hits is 175. For terms that are best case scenario (skip +1) I use just the number of times that they are found in Torah only at skip +1. EVENT occurs 62 times at skip +1. The chance that both of these terms would occur in a 200-letter matrix in this fashion with ROBERT SALAS is about 1 in 115.
