ISRAELI ELECTION - NETANYAHU RULES, YAIR LAPID IS 2ND
Lapid will not obstruct a Netanyahu-led Government (1/23/2013)
On January 22, 2013, Israel held an election for a new Knesset/Parliament. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud party finished first so he will have the first shot at forming a coalition Government. However, his party (winning only 31 seats out of 120 up for grabs) had a far poorer showing than the last time around (with 42 seats), and a new comer and new Party, Yesh Atid (There is a future), led by Yair Lapid finished in a strong second place with 19 seats. This is reflected on the matrix below which has YAIR LAPID as the axis term. The first letter of YAIR (yud) is the last letter of SECOND. NETANYAHU is at skip +1, and TO RULE in the open text is closer to him than YAIR LAPID. The Hebrew year of the election, (5)773/2013 is at an ELS. Election results are summarized in a video HERE.
STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MATRIX. As per my standard protocol, no statistical significance is added to the matrix based on the axis term, here YAIR LAPID at the 9th lowest skip. The requirement for this matrix was that it include one of 16 appearances in Torah of NETANYAHU at skip +1. Before adjustment for the ELS rank 9 of YAIR LAPID, there was one chance in 33 to have the Prime Minister on the matrix. There were 7 words checked for TO RULE or RULE. As such, TO RULE appears in the open text against odds of about 75 to 1. The short form of the Hebrew year 5773 appears at an ELS against odds of about 9.7 to 1. The place finish of Lapid in the election, SECOND, is at an ELS, but it was almost certain to be on the 578 letter matrix. However, it does share a letter with YAIR LAPID and it only takes 104 letters to show the name with the place finish. Overall, with the axis term ELS rank 9 factored in, the matrix appears against odds of about 2,875 to 1.
