PLAGUE IN WUHAN, CHINA

On January 25, 2020 Larry Taylor asked me to search for the Wuhan plague. Within 5 minutes I had found axis term WUHAN CHINA encoded with PLAGUE in the open text in a 100-letter area matrix. The plague found is described in Numbers 25:9. The number killed is given as 24,000. I have found matrices before about other plagues (like Ebola) but the death toll wasn't correct on them. The virus was first identified on December 8, 2019 with the first death on January 9, 2020. According to Wikipedia by February 5, 2020 this plague had killed 564 people in China with 28,266 confirmed cases. This was first day that the number of confirmed cases exceeds the number of people killed in the Torah verse above. By March 25, 2020 the virus had already killed more than 20,494 people worldwide (85.39% of the Numbers 25:9 match of Wuhan China with plague), and there were over 452,156 confirmed cases. The rate of increase was so great that I wrote on that day, "It looks like we'll pass the 24,000 number by March 27, 2020 unless the introduction of Hydroxychloroquine sulfate with azithromycin shuts down the virus." Realizing that on March 26, 2020 I decided to see if the 24,000 deaths matched the date on the Hebrew calendar that it occurred. Amazing enough, it did. This is documented on my article about the 24,000 Dead by First of Nisan. In the past at this point in this article I had discussed cases and deaths in China, Iran, Italy and the U.S. here For most of this time the U.S. had just a tiny percent of Chinese cases and deaths. But by March 29, 2020 the U.S had the most cases in the world, 138,879 compared to 81,439 in China. While President Trump said that there could be as 2.2 million deaths in the U.S., on March 29 the official death toll stood at 10,779 in Italy; 6,803 in Spain; 3,300 in China; 2,640 in Iran; 2,640 in France and 2,438 in the U.S. Russia claimed only 2,438 cases with just 8 dead. The Chinese, Iranian and Russian figures may be lies.

       On Figure 1 odds against the WUHAN CHINA - PLAGUE match are about 38 to 1, but upon slight expansion from 100 to 630 letters it became apparent that INSTITUTE is at the same absolute skip as WUHAN CHINA. This is important because the virus may have leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Some reports argue that we are dealing with a man-made virus. Odds against the full Figure 1 are about 103 to 1. Note: Additional matrices are HERE.  Figure 1 below is greatly improved here with odds against it over 2.9 million to 1.

AN EXAMINATION OF PLAGUES IN THE TORAH AND PROBLEMS WITH USING THEM TO PREDICT THE MAGNITUDE OF FUTURE PLAGUES. There are 9 times in Torah that the word for PLAGUE (mem gimel feh hey) used on Figure 1 appears at skip +1. They are shown on Table 1 as follows:

        While we wait to see if 20,400 people die as a result of the 2020 plague (and pray that the number is far lower), even if that numbers proves to be correct, whenever we attempt to use the number of people (Israelites) who died in a Torah plague we are limited by the text to 10, 14,700 or 20,400. This may explain why I could not find the right number for the Ebola plagues in recent years. There is, of course, another plague found in Torah - the death of the firstborn Egyptians in Egypt - a plague that Israelites were spared from so long as they stayed home and marked the doorposts of their houses with the blood of lambs.

     There is indeed another word in Torah that can be translated as PLAGUE. The word spelled mem caf hey primarily means HIT or BLOW, but it can also be translated as STROKE, BUMP, SMASH or PLAGUE. The word spelled mem caf tav means BLOW and the spelling mem caf vav tav primarily means BEATING, but can mean plagues. Not in the Torah, but in a Passover Haggadah there are 10 plagues mentioned that are as follows: 1) Blood, 2) frogs, 3) lice, 4) wild beasts, 5) pestilence, 6) boils, 7) hail, 8) locusts, 9) darkness, and 10) death (or plague) of the firstborn. Most of these were not fatal to people, but no numbers of casualties are mentioned. Anyway while a Haggadah has some Torah text in it, this list is not part of the direct text where the ELS Code exists.

SIGNIFICANCE OF FIGURE 2  There are two times in Torah where dietary (kosher) laws for Jews are given where bats are specifically forbidden as food Leviticus 11:19 and Deuteronomy 14:18. I looked for matches of the prohibitions with WUMAN CHINA as the axis term. The match in Figure 2 (using Leviticus 11:2) has WUHAN CHINA (at ELS rank 11) matched with BAT in the open text in 154 letters but when expanded to 462 letters Figure 2 just names BAT as DESTESTABLE. Figure 2's search included the command DO NOT EAT and abominable). There are many news reports trying to link BAT SOUP with the diseases's transmssion. Five terms were sought for SOUP.  One of them was found at skip +1 on Figure 2 against odds of about 14.2 to 1. Figure 2 was found against odds of about 10,769 to 1 which was slightly more significant than Figure 3.

SIGNIFICANCE OF FIGURE 3. Figure 3 shows WUHAN CHINA (ELS rank 3) matched with DO NOT EAT and BAT in Deuteronomy 14:18-19. The match of WUHAN CHINA just with BAT in the open text in 126 letters occurred against odds of about 403 to 1. But the match only made sense by expanding the matrix to 540 letters to include DO NOT EAT. Odds against the full matrix were about 10,686 to 1. 

DOES THE TORAH PROHIBIT EATING SNAKES? COULD EATING THEM TRANSMIT THE WUHAN VIRUS? Clearly the Torah twice prohibits Jews from eating bats. What about snakes? Although snakes and serpents are mentioned many times in Torah, the word for snake is not directly included in the list of animals prohibited, however (without going into mysticism) it is considered not kosher because Leviticus 11:42 states, "Whatsoever goes upon the belly, and whatsoever goes upon all fours, or whatsoever hath many feet, even all swarming things that swarm upon the earth, them you shall not eat; for they are a detestable thing."

       There are some reports that claim the virus from Wuhan was transmitted by eating snakes. However, preliminary analyses of the genetic data released by Chinese authorities suggest that 2019-nCoV is most closely related to a group of coronaviruses that typically infect bats. But for a variety of reasons - including that it’s winter and bats are hibernating—many scientists suspect that some other animal moved the virus from bats to humans. Is there a match in Torah for WUHAN CHINA and SNAKE? Let's look at Figure 4. The match requires only 32 letters but it does not pertain to eating snakes. Rather it deals with Israelites who were bitten by snakes being able to recover if they looked up at a brass or copper serpent on a pole.
