IRAN IS GOG - YEAR 5772 (2011-2012)

There has long been a question about the identify of Gog, a power predicted to fight Israel in the End of Days. On the first matrix below the axis term is IRAN IS GOG. But when will this war come? At the same skip as IRAN IS GOG (-82925) I originally found the year 5772 (2011-12 on the Western calendar), but there was no final war then. Sharing a letter gimel with the axis term is GREAT NATION. IRAN is certainly THE EVIL LAND, being the number one sponsor of terrorist. THE EVIL LAND is on the matrix too. JORDAN also shares a letter with IRAN IS GOG. ISRAEL is the matrix. The word BOMBED is there but it does not touch any key words. Finally, ROME is on the matrix, and back on November 2, 2011, the Israeli Air force had numerous planes in Italy practicing for an attack against Iran. This first matrix was found with the row spit function enabled. As will be seen in the second matrix below, when that function is switched on then we see the phrase IN THE END OF DAYS intersected by ATTACKED.  

The ELS reference is 82925 characters between rows. The matrix starts at Exodus 35:25 Letter 60 and ends at Numbers 13:29 Letter 64.The matrix spans 1,907,315 characters of the surface text. The matrix has 24 rows, is 40 columns wide and contains a total of 960 characters. For the area highlighted with a yellow background, the wrapped matrix starts at Exodus 35:26 Letter 16 and ends at Exodus 34:16 Letter 51. It spans 912,185 characters of the surface text. It has 12 rows, 10 columns and a total of 120 characters.

STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MATRIX. The top matrix was somewhat shocking to me when I found it because it has the current Hebrew year (5772) found at the same skip (-82,925) as the axis term IRAN IS GOG. It is thus at a special case skip. The three other special case skips for this term would be +1, -1, and +82,925. Odds against a match of this quality in the 120 letter matrix around IRAN IS GOG are 1,270 to 1 (see the calculation spreadsheet). Given that the identity of Gog and the full nature of the apocalyptic war that it is predicted to fight with Israel with Israel has long been highly speculative, this match is enough to make me sit and take notice. Other terms on the full 960 letters of the top matrix are not as significant and will be discussed later. While the year was a-priori, it remains to be seen whether Iran does enter into such an apocalyptic war this year, but current headlines indicate that it is highly likely.

       For the second matrix the interest is primarly in the top 28 rows since the phrase on the bottom line (EVIL LAND IN A PLAGUE) in the section highlighted with a gray background was only found a-posteriori. The real interest in this matrix is the a-priori phrase IN THE END OF DAYS. It only occurs four times in Torah. The matrix requires an area of 1,036 letters to it show with IRAN IS GOG and the Hebrew year (5772). On a matrix this large, the odds against having the match of IRAN IS GOG with 5772 are reduced to about 147 to 1, but the odds against having IN THE END OF DAYS are about 74 to 1. The odds against having both 5772 and IN THE END OF DAYS in 1,036 letters with IRAN IS GOG are about 10,930 to 1. This is highly significant statistically, but it turned out to be merely a source of amusement as Iran continued to stonewall the west while it pursued a nuclear arsenal. Note: Meaningful dates are almost never found in the Torah Code.

         What about the statistical significance of all the other terms shown on both matrices? Here I think that it would be disingenuous to offer combined odds. While I could offer odds for ROMAN, or JORDAN, the odds would overlook my failure to find Italy, USA (though I did find OBAMA), America, Germany, Russia or France. There was better than an 86% chance that ISRAEL would be on a 1,036 letter matrix, and the phrase GREAT NATION was only found a-posteriori. The IN THE END OF DAYS phrase is from Numbers 24:14 where Balaam, tells Israel's enemy, King Balak of Moab, "I WILL ADVISE YOU WHAT WILL BE DONE BY THIS PEOPLE TO YOUR IN THE END OF DAYS." A-priori words of 4 or even 5 letters are not too hard to find on matrices this size when they are not at a special case skip (+/- 1 or the absolute skip of the axis term). The significance of the matrices shown on this page is in how they pair IRAN IS GOG with the current year and with IN THE END OF DAYS.         One final word about negative predictions in Judaism. God is always open to sincere repentance. Judaism believes that positive predictions by our prophets must come true, but not so for evil. As with the story of Jonah and how Nineveh was saved from predicted destruction, we can still pray that Iran will come to its senses. The Iranian people are, as was seen in recent attempts to overthrow the madman Ahmadinejad, a GREAT PEOPLE. While history includes the evil Hamen (who the Book of Esther records as having tried to exterminate the Jewish people), Iranian/Persian history also includes Queen Esther and King Cyrus, who allowed the Jews to build the Second Temple. Isaiah 45:1 even refers to him as the Lord's Anointed (the Messiah), and he wasn't even a Jew.
