BEN CARSON IN 2016? PERHAPS A GOOD VP PICK.
But don't count on him bringing too many black voters to the Republican Party. (Updated 6/12/2015)
Ben Carson represents the best of American values, but according to a CNN poll 39% of Americans say relations between blacks and whites have worsened since Obama took office, including 45% of whites and 26% of blacks. Just 15% of Americans say race relations have improved under Obama, while 45% say they have stayed about the same. The problem cannot be blamed on Obama alone. While not politically correct to say it (and when am I ever politically correct?), there seems to have been a noticeable attitude of revenge that many blacks have had toward whites ever since Obama won in 2008. Many whites are upset that affirmative action laws persist even when blacks hold the White House and a host of other top government posts. White and Asian students who outscore blacks are upset that blacks with lower college admission tests are still favored for admission. Whites who thought that electing a black man as president would inspire young blacks to commit less crime were proven wrong. So, even though Dr. Carson looks like the right kind of black man to be President, his timing is off. This will likely keep him from winning the nomination, but he would be a good pick for other top slots including Vice President. His Torah Code matrix is not very positive, so there is no indication of a surprise there. The only person of color who scores well on the Code (actually at the top of the list) is of Indian descent – Governor Bobby Jindal but his campaign appears to be going nowhere.
