GEORGE SOROS- THE MAN WHO BROKE THE BANK OF ENGLAND

Given Glenn Beck's constant attacks on George Soros, I've often thought about doing a matrix about him. The first problem is the spelling of his name. In Hebrew Wikipedia, the last name is samech vav resh vav samech. So they use the letter samech for S. Samech is relatively rare in Hebrew so use of the letter greatly limits ELS finds. However when using a shin/sin for S, it is much easier to find SOROS in the Code. The next spelling problem is that George has two letter gimels, also rare. So at most, we can find G. Soros at an ELS. His actual original name at birth was Schwartz Gyorgy. With G.SCHWARTZ at skip 2218 as the axis term I found SOROS at skip +1. MONEY is encoded through G.SCHWARTZ, and HOLOCAUST is also at an ELS. Verses of interest in the open text are from Deuteronomy 12:10 which has "He gives you REST FROM ALL YOUR ENEMIES." This fits him because of his holocaust experience. Deuteronomy 13:12 has "HEAR AND FEAR AND DO NO MORE SUCH WICKEDNESS." This may be a plea for him to stop devaluing national currencies (like the British pound). The phrase SET IT UP IN SECRET (Deuteronomy 27:15) may also allude to how such deals were set up. Finally, Deuteronomy 15:7 has "DO NOT SHUT YOUR HAND FROM YOUR BROTHER WHO IS NEEDY." He gives to many charities, but not to Israel. As for Glenn Beck, it really takes a minimum of 3 letters for an ELS, but the two letters that spell BECK are shown in the yellow box. They are at skip -2218, the same absolute skip as G.SCHWARTZ, but in the opposite direction.

STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MATRIX. The name SOROS only occurs 3 times in Torah at skip +1 as it is spelled on the matrix. It never occurs at skip +1 as it is spelled in the Hebrew Wikipedia article about George Soros. Odds against it occurring on the 513-matrix (which is only based on the 8th lowest ELS of G.SCHWARTZ) are about 25 to 1. Odds against SOROS at skip +1 being as close as it is on this matrix to G.SCHWARTZ (in 143 letter box with a gray background color) are about 89 to 1. As per my standard protocol, no significance is assigned to the axis term or to the a-posteriori verses cited on the matrix. Other than SOROS, the only a priori key words on the matrix are MONEY  and HOLOCAUST. The latter two words are not statistically significant, and MONEY requires a wrapped search (second computer pass through Torah to to find). The name SOROS touches DO NOT SHUT YOUR HAND FROM YOUR BROTHER WHO IS NEEDY, however its significance should best to understood by George Soros himself. See the next discussion.

THEOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MATRIX. Michelle Goldberg published a defense of George Soros. It includes a link to Glenn Beck’s attack on Soros. At 3:48 into the interview Soros says he has not been very engaged in Israel because he says, “I think there are enough Jews to take care of Israel.” So it appears that Deuteronomy 15:7 on the matrix above is an appropriate verse to run through Soros's original name. The article by Goldberg accuses Glenn Beck of being an anti-Semite. I watched his show almost daily for well over a year. As an Orthodox Jew I'm ready to testify that such an accusation is crazier than Beck sometimes like to sound. The Jewish people probably have few better friends than Beck, whatever his Christian motivations may be for fervently supporting Israel. However, there is no shortage of anti-Semitic Jews, including one that I recently rebuked in HaAretz (see comment 21) for his treasonous words about Israel. In fact, I would almost go so far as to say that many if not most ultraliberal Jews are prejudiced against their own people, or at least those Jews who want to follow the Laws of Torah that rightly define Judaism. 

       Being Jewish does not mean that one automatically obeys God. Most (but not all) of the kings written about in the Bible's Book of Kings did that which was evil. The problem back in those days between 932 B.C.E. and 586 B.C.E. was one of idolatry. Today the problem is often the worship of secular values (that is, lack of values). At the pinnacle of such beliefs is athesm. George Soros, while born a Jew, is according  to his own web site, an atheist.

       What harm is done if Soros wants to call himself an atheist? Probably none if he were not born as a Jew. The problem is that we live in a world where there are 2.2 billion Christians. All of them include the Tanach (generally known as  the Old Testament) in their Bible. This means that they read of us in Deuteronomy 14:2, "For you are a holy people to YHWH your God, and God has chosen you to be his treasured people from all the nations that are on the face of the earth." In Exodus 19:5 they find, "If you hearken well to Me and observe My covenant, you shall be to Me the most beloved treasure of all peoples." We were to be a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation" (Exodus 19:6). But there is a price tag attached  to the title of being "chosen."  In the movie Fiddler of the Roof, Tevya the Jewish milkman laments, "I know you have chosen us, but couldn't you sometimes choose someone else?" The obligation imposed upon the Israelites is emphasized by the prophet Amos (3:2): "You only have I singled out of all the families of the earth: therefore will I visit upon you all your iniquities."

       George Soros has been blessed to be one of the richest men in the world. But he has turned on the God Who has blessed him, and turned from his own people. Worse, he has deliberately devalued national currencies, and plotted against the wealth of people around the world in an effort to satisfy his own greed.  He is, despite the denial that he makes in conjunction with his birth status, the poster boy for anti-Semites everywhere. When he behaves as his does, like a lightning rod, he draws hatred from those who read their Bibles and who wonder how such a man can be "chosen." To all Christians who read this page, I implore you, do not judge us by this man. There are indeed some rich Jews who have gone astray, and who control banking institutions who have gone astray. But most Jews are not bankers, or millionaires let alone billionaires. Most of us, like Tevya the milkman, are just trying to scratch out a simple living without breaking our necks. However, for my fellow Jews who are not religious, I warn you. People are watching you. They have learned to believe in God, in many cases, because they see him punish us when we go astray. This past Sabbath (Saturday, September 17, 2011) in synagogues around the world we read a portion of Torah known as Ki Savo. In it, from Deuteronomy 28:15 to 28:68 is a prediction of what would happen to us if we did not heaken to the voice of God. It is a chillingly accurate description of the Holocaust. And if you say, "Yes, but Orthodox Jews died too in  the Holocaust," you are right. But the Orthodox tolerated the birth of Reform Judaism, which started in Germany. Doing so was analogous to their watching "enlightened Jews" drill holes into the bottom of a lifeboat that held all the Jewish people. The Jewish Virtual Library states the following about the origins and beliefs of Reform Judaism in Germany:

     "Between 1810 and 1820, congregations in Seesen, Hamburg and Berlin instituted fundamental changes in traditional Jewish practices and beliefs, such as mixed seating, single day observance of festivals and the use of a cantor/choir. Many leaders of the Reform movement took a very "rejectionist" view of Jewish practice and discarded traditions and rituals. For example:

• The Hebrew language was removed from the liturgy and replaced with German.
• The hope for a restoration of the Jew in Israel was officially renounced, and it was officially stated that Germany was to be the new Zion.
• The ceremony in which a child celebrated becoming Bar Mitzvah was replaced with a "confirmation" ceremony.
• The laws of Kashrut (kosher food laws) and family purity were officially declared "repugnant" to modern thinking people, and were not observed.
• Shabbat (the Sabbath) was observed on Sunday.
• Traditional restrictions on Shabbat behavior were not followed."

      The Bar Mitzvah position above, while wrong, was not critical, although without knowledge of how to read Hebrew, or how to approach a Torah, or knowledge of what is in that Torah, there seems to be nothing left to confirm in a confirmation ceremony. With respect to the Sabbath, it has often been said that more than the Jews keeping the Sabbath, the Sabbath has kept Jews - well, Jews! The Sabbath is one of our 10 commandments. Once it is discarded, the other 9 commandments can quickly be rationalized away.  As for kosher laws (largely in the 11th chapter of Leviticus), which only apply to Jews, when Jews ignore them they proclaim their "freedom" from the God that established them.

       Finally, history makes clear enough how the idea of Germany being the "new Zion" worked out to be. I have noticed that there are many people who see Zionism as evil. In fact, on November 10, 1975 the United Nations General Assembly adopted its Resolution 3379, which states that Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination. This resolution was revoked on December 16, 1992 in order to get Israel to participate in the Madrid Peace Conference. But what is Zion? Wikipedia indicates that "Zion is a place name often used as a synonym for Jerusalem. The word is first found in Samuel II, 5:7 dating to about 630-540 BCE. It commonly referred to a specific mountain near Jerusalem (Mount Zion), on which stood a Jebusite fortress of the same name that was conquered by King David and was named the City of David. The term Zion came to designate the area of Jerusalem where the fortress stood, and later became a metonym for King Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem, the city of Jerusalem and generally, the World to Come." While there are non-religious Jews who do support Israel for reasons of their own survival and need for a home in the face of persecution, the best definition of Zionism relates to the belief that Jews can only fulfill all the 613 laws of Torah by building a Third Temple in Jerusalem on the site of the first two Temples.

       While the general consensus of Orthodox Judaism is that the job of building the Temple rests with the Messiah (when he comes for the first time); the longing for both the Messiah (who will end war permanently) and the Temple is at the core of true Judaism. It is thus impossible to be a religious Jew without being a Zionist. Obviously, if George Soros is an atheistic who does not support Israel, he is not in any sense of the term a Zionist.
