POPE BANS CATHOLICS FROM TRYING TO CONVERT JEWS
Jews (who are really not Jews at all) for Jesus are upset by the ruling. Posted on 12/14/2015.
I live in Cape Canaveral, Florida. I am a Modern Orthodox Jew. Unfortunately, there is no Orthodox synagogue anywhere near my town, and like all Orthodox Jews I don't drive on the Sabbath (sundown Friday until about 42 minutes after sunset on Saturday). While there is no synagogue here, there is a very annoying large sign that I see when I pass by the city hall. It proclaims JEWS FOR JESUS. The sign often confuses my neighbors who assume from it that this is normal for Jews. It's not. When a Jew accepts Jesus as his or her Messiah, or more as with the Trinity, it's an act of apostasy. There is a proper religions for people who believe that Jesus was the Christ (Greek for Messiah). It is called Christianity. On December 13, 2015, long after the Crusades, the Inquisition, and the Concordat between the Vatican and the Third Reich, the Vatican finally came down on the side of what is right. As is shown below Figure 1, it declared that Catholics should not try to convert Jews. This is not the first time that I have seen the Vatican do what's right. As is shown on Figure 2, the Church previously annulled the wrongful baptism of my older son (who is now an Orthodox rabbi). On Figure 1 the axis term is JEWS FOR JESUS. The word APOSTASY is encoded nearby. By Jewish tradition, Edom is Rome. In the open text is AND EDOM REFUSED. Edom is right to refuse to try to convert Jews. Thank you Pope Francis.
JERUSALEM POST DECEMBER 13, 2015:
The Jews for Jesus organization has denounced the Vatican for saying that the Catholic Church must not try to convert Jews to Christianity.
David Brickner, executive director of Jews for Jesus, said in a statement issued Friday that his organization finds the position “…egregious, especially coming from an institution which seeks to represent a significant number of Christians in the world.”
The pronouncement against converting Jews came in a major document released Thursday by the Vatican’s Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews. It was issued to mark the 50th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, a declaration promulgated in 1965 by the Second Vatican Council that opened the door to formal Catholic-Jewish dialogue.
The new Vatican document, titled “The Gifts and Calling of God are Irrevocable,” discussed at length how Christianity is rooted in Judaism. Because of this, it said, the Church is “obliged to view evangelization to Jews, who believe in the one God, in a different manner from that to people of other religions and world views.”
It added, “In concrete terms this means that the Catholic Church neither conducts nor supports any specific institutional mission work directed towards Jews.”
Brickner accused the Vatican of pandering to Jewish leaders.
“How can the Vatican ignore the fact that the Great Commission of Jesus Christ mandates that his followers are to bring the gospel to all people? Are they merely pandering to some leaders in the Jewish community who applaud being off the radar for evangelization by Catholics? If so, they need to be reminded that they first received that gospel message from the lips of Jews who were for Jesus,” he said.
Jews for Jesus, which calls itself the “largest Jewish mission agency in the world,” has branches in 13 countries and 25 cities.
STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FIGURE 1. As per my standard protocol, no statistical significance is assigned to the axis term, here JEWS FOR JESUS at its only ELS (in wrapped Torah). Normally I don't consider the axis term in evaluating the statistical value of a matrix. I will note here, however, that this term is 10 letters, which is relatively long. Eight letters is far more common for any matrix that I publish. The R value of this term by itself is 0.7933. This means that it only had about one chance in 6.21 to exist. As for the two a priori key words, the more significant one is APOSTASY. It is found somewhere on the matrix against odds of about 141 to 1. EDOM is mentioned im the open text (and in reference to Israel) against odds of about 43.5 to 1. Without considering the length of the axis term the matrix is found against odds of about 6,175 to 1. If we factor in the R-value, the matrix had about 1 chance in 38,365 to exist. This is significant enough to use as an argument in any Torah Codes-based discussion with Christians who are pretending to be Jewish.
DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN JUDAISM, CHRISTIANTY AND ISLAM. Whereas Judaism does not proselytize, Figure 1 should not be used to try to convert Christians (or Muslims) to Judaism. However there are so few Jews left in the world that it's important that we hold on to every legitimate Jew out there. A legitimate Jew is someone who has a Jewish mother or who has converted to Judaism in accordance with (Orthodox) Jewish Law. The term Jews for Jesus is no more Jewish than the term Christians for Mohammed would be Christian.
Any legitimate conversion of a Christian to Judaism includes the requirement to renounce the Nazarene as part of a Trinitarian godhead, the Messiah, or even as a legitimate prophet. Likewise I would think that any legitimate conversion to Christianity from Islam would (or should) require the convert to reject Mohammed as a legitimate prophet. No Christian should ever refer to Mohammed as The Prophet, because Mohammed clearly rejected the central tenet of Christanity that the Trinity is.
As is written in Wikipedia:
In Christianity, the doctrine of the Trinity states that God is a single being who exists, simultaneously and eternally, as a communion of three distinct persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Within Islam, however, such a concept of plurality within God is a denial of monotheism and foreign to the revelation found in Muslim scripture. Shirk, the act of ascribing partners to God – whether they be sons, daughters, or other partners – is considered to be blasphemous in Islam. The Qur'an repeatedly and firmly asserts God's absolute oneness, thus ruling out the possibility of another being sharing his sovereignty or nature.[1] There has been little doubt that Muslims have rejected Christian doctrines of the Trinity from an early date, but the details of Quranic exegesis have recently become a subject of renewed scholarly debate.[1][2]
Let it be known that in Islam the father determines the religion of the children. Barack Hussein Obama was therefore born as a Muslim. He still refers to Mohammed as The Prophet and there is no record of Obama ever rejecting that concept. Therefore his claim to be a Christian would appear to be a ruse.
BAPTISM ANNULLED. As you can see in Figure 2, my older son had his Catholic baptism annull, ed by the Catholic Church after he was tricked into a baptism against his wishes and without my permission as a parent with joint custody. At the time I was only following Conservative Judaism. My family became Orthodox shortly after this miracle. So far as we can determine and as is discussed in the Miami Herald, this was the only baptism ever annulled in the history of the world. You can read press coverage of the incident here or for free read the book that I wrote about it at this link.
A FINAL NOTE TO "JEWS FOR JESUS." It is said that many mountain tops point to heaven. Judaism believes that people of all faiths can attain heaven and/or salvation. The requirements are harder to follow for Jews who are bound by the 613 commandments in Torah, or at least those that do not require a Temple to fulfill. Some of the 613 Commandments only pertain to one sex. But for non-Jews we teach that it is only necessary to follow the 7 Precepts of Noah: (1) No murder, (2) no theft, (3) no sexual misconduct like incest (many rabbis add no homosexuality or adultery), (4) no cruelty to animals (literally, don't rip off the flesh of an animal and eat it while the animal is still alive), (5) no blasphemy, (6) no idol worship, and (7) maintain courts of Justice. Jews (real Jews) will respect you if you are legitimate Christians. But you will never be accepted as Jews by Jews who are not ignoramuses. You will only be seen as imposters, wolves in sheep's clothing who have one goal and it isn't to improve our spiritual lot. Your goal is to destroy us. Do yourselves, us, and the world a favor. Be honest. Call yourself by what you really are - Christians. While I have often been very critical of the Vatican, on this issue the Pope is right.
