Don't bet on it (Even though 8 Tevet 5770 = Christmas 2009)
This matrix was first posted on Christmas Day, 2009. It was the 8th of Tevet 5770 on the Jewish calendar. Life went on, despite it The next time the 8th of Tevet matches up nicely with End of All Life is on December 20, 2015. The 8th of Tevet only got my attention because in 2012, that's the day that the Mayan calendar ends. But it's on December 21st that year. A better match for 5776 (2015) is for the October 3. Frankly, I think most of us will come through these days just fine, but only because we have a merciful God. As a sign of this, Christmas Day 2009 could have been the End of All Life for passengers aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253. A terrorist, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, had a device containing a high explosive attached to his body on a flight from Amsterdam. As the flight neared Detroit's airport, Abdulmutallab set it off - but it sparked a fire instead of an explosion. Apparently the detonator failed to go off properly.
