On August 11, 2014 one of my favorite movie stars, ROBIN WILLIAMS, committed suicide. His name serves as the axis term for the matrix below. He was a huge star, and indeed the word STARS appears in the open text where it runs into and shares a letter with his name. He was BELOVED by millions of fans, and this word overlaps and shares two letters with STARS. He was DEPRESSED and this word is on the matrix at skip +1. He turned to ALCOHOLISM to help deal with his depression, and this word is at an ELS on the matrix. Finally, his first TV show was Mork and Mindy. There are transliterations of both names on the matrix.
MRS. DOUBTFIRE ISSUE. When I first thought about looking for Robin Williams a major image of him that entered my mind was of his role as Mrs. Doubtfire. While looking over the matrix produced and first published here I was aware of, but did not originally highlight Leviticus 18:22 which states that a man should not lie with (have sexual relations with) a man as he does a woman, it is an abomination. However on the evening of August 13 I received an e-mail request for me to look for Mrs. Doubtfire. The request was accompanied by the following link: Robin Williams' friend reveals actor resented having to do new Mrs Doubtfire - Telegraph. The article states, "Robin Williams’ friend reveals actor resented having to do new Mrs. Doubtfire. Exclusive: Close friend says actor dreaded making films as they 'brought out his demons.'"
Leviticus 18:22 is one of three Torah verses that prohibit homosexual behavior. This one just prohibits it, while Leviticus 20:13 declares such behavior worthy of a death sentence. Deuteronomy 22:5 states that cross-dressing - a theme of the Doubtfire movie and planned sequel - is an abomination. It may be that Williams, a family man, was uncomfortable taking on film roles that were in conflict with God's Biblical morality, or that he was unsure about whether he was straight, bisexual or simply gay. He also had starred in Birdcage as Armand, the homosexual owner of a South (Miami) Beach drag club. That film was based on the Hollywood play La Cage aux Folles.
STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE MATRIX. As per my standard protocol, no statistical significance is assigned to the axis term, here the only transliteration that I could find for ROBIN WILLIAMS. It is at its second lowest skip in (wrapped) Torah. The most significant a-priori key word was DEPRESSED at skip +1. Before making an adjustment to account for ELS rank 2 of the axis term, it was at this best special case skip against odds of about 212 to 1. The second most significant term was STARS in the open text. The odds against it being somewhere on the 480-letter matrix were about 58 to 1, but the odds against STAR being in a 54-letter box with ROBIN WILLIAMS were about 518 to 1. This seems like a most appropriate match. He was one of the few stars that would get me to take my family to a movie just because of who was starring in it. MINDY was on the matrix against odds of about 35 to 1. The other terms were not statistically significant, although the odds against ALCOHOLISM being in 54 letters with ROBIN WILLIAMS were about 99 to 1. The full matrix appeared against combined odds of about 405,461 to 1. I also found a matrix based on the lowest skip of Robin Williams, but this one looked somewhat more significant.
What about the possibility that homosexual issues could have led to the suicide? Here I must be clear. As of the time of this article there is no proof that Williams ever engaged in homosexual acts, although there are unconfirmed accusations on-line. IF a suicide note (still not released) or other proof arises of such acts, then it is, I think, fair to include Leviticus 18:22 on the second spreadsheet. There was about 1 chance in 212 that one of three verses prohibiting such behavior would be on the same matrix, which raises the significance of the matrix considerably. If we include this verse, then odds against such a matrix grow to 84,416,183 to 1.
