OBAMA NOBEL PRIZE

     The 5 letter of Obama’s last name are not rare letters in Hebrew.  They are high frequency, and without good accompanying material are usually not that significant in a Torah Codes matrix unless it is a very small matrix.  They are also fairly easy to pair with all sorts of axis terms. On this matrix, the axis term (first term sought) was NOBEL PRIZE.  It is shown at its minimum (most significant) ELS.  In the 273-leter matrix, in addition to the axis term at skip -6594, we find OBAMA at skip 6595, and also USA at skip 6595.  If they were both at skip 6594, I would have done a probability search to see how significant it would have been to have these a priori terms match the skip of NOBEL PRIZE, but they were one letter off, so my general protocol of the Roffman Skip Formula and skip tables was applied.  PRESIDENT was also on the matrix at skip +1, which is a special case skip, so its frequency only at that skip was checked.  As the spreadsheet indicates, there was about 1 chance in 20 that OBAMA would be on the matrix at some skip, about one chance in 16 that PRESIDENT would be there at skip +1, and better odds than calling heads or tails (here about 1 chance in 1.8) that USA would be on the matrix.  All combined, with no value at all assigned to the axis term, NOBEL PRIZE, the value of the matrix was computed at p = .00157 or about one chance in 634.

     The matrix requires software like CodeFinder to reproduce because more than one pass through the Torah is needed to detect it.  Most of the more famous Israelis Codes researchers don’t have CodeFinder because (as Orthodox Jews) they don’t want software that also includes the New Testament.  Dr. Robert Haralick, an Orthodox Jewish American, is attempting to rectify this serious problem for them by working on kosher software with no New Testament.  Dr. Haralick has also produced, for me, software that allows CodeFinder to do a control text, scrambled text search.  But unlike CodeFinder's normal (inadequate control), Dr. Haralick’s software permutes text at the verse level, not the letter level.  This is essential because it allows us to see how often open text words pair up with axis and other terms.  He made ten verse-permuted files for me.  If you want to bug somebody about getting them for your own research, please don’t bother him or me. Instead, ask Kevin Acres who created CodeFinder.  His creation is brilliant, but he needs to decide about including Haralick’s files.  But so far, I haven’t had any luck in getting him to do it, and the financial incentive to do so is not terrific for now.

   Using the 10 Haralick verse-permuted files, and just checking for Nobel Prize between skips -35,000 and 35,000, I was not able to come up with a match as good as that seen in the Torah, but I did get close with one m atrixhaving all the terms in a 300-letter (25 row, 12 column matrix where the axis term, Nobel prize, was at skip 4631.  The report for that matrix was as follows:

The matrix spans 111156 characters of the surface text.

The matrix has 25 rows, is 12 columns wide and contains a total of 300 characters.

    Obama himself admitted that he was unworthy of receiving the prize.  As for why he was nominated for it only 12 days into his presidency and then selected in October, 2009, the Jerusalem Post speculates, “If Obama was unlikely to okay any military activity against Iran to keep it from getting nuclear weapons capabilities before the award, giving him the award now seems an attempt to handcuff him even further.”  I went looking for Iran on the Matrix, and didn’t see it at first.  But then I realized that a Biblical synonym for Iran is Persia.  The Hebrew for Nobel Prize is Nun Bet Vav Lamed Peh Resh Samech.  Curiously, the last three letters, is not only Prize, but also PERSIA! No additional statistical value is assigned to these letters because they are part of the axis term, but if you are curious, the three verses that run through the three letters of Persia/Prize are as follows:
